Scarlett Johansson has decided to speak out about her dispute with Disney regarding the release of her Marvel movie “Black Widow.” The actress, who is 38 years old, had a disagreement with the studio when it chose to release the film on Disney+ along with theatrical release instead of just in cinemas.

In an exclusive interview with Variety, Scarlett Johansson has spilled the beans about her recent dispute with Disney regarding her role in Black Widow.

Scarlett revealed to Variety that she was happy about the decision to speak up, even though it violated her contract and jeopardized her salary. After reaching an agreement, Scarlett expressed her gratitude for having taken a stand. She explained, “I couldn’t even walk into a restaurant without someone saying, ‘Good for you. Stand up for yourself.’ I could see that my actions had a greater impact. I received support from complete strangers who had no stake in the matter.”

In 2021, Scarlett and Disney resolved their legal dispute, and they are now collaborating on a new movie called The Tower of Terror, inspired by one of the rides at their US theme park. Recently, Scarlett spoke briefly about her brief marriage to Ryan Reynolds during a conversation with Gwyneth Paltrow on her Goop podcast.

During a conversation, Scarlett corrected her friend’s statement about her marital status. Gwyneth had mistakenly mentioned that Scarlett had been married twice, including to Ryan Reynolds. Scarlett clarified that although she had been briefly married to Ryan when they first met during the filming of Iron Man 2, she was not married twice. Gwyneth expressed her admiration for Ryan and described him as a favorite in her household. Scarlett also spoke highly of Ryan and referred to him as a “good guy.”
